A dozen campaigners held a noisy and lively protest outside of QinetiQ's
goat laboratory in Gosport.
We arrived just after 3pm to ensure we could catch all the workers as
they left for the weekend.
For over three hours the noise was constant, as we informed staff and
the public of the cruelty involved in QinetiQ's hyperbaric research.
Chants such as, "QinetiQ and the MoD, killing goats for blood money"
resonated around the buildings, and by 6 o clock very few staff had
left, despite the fact that they normally finish early on a Friday.
We could see them hiding in their offices, and behind buildings, waiting
for us to go. That sums these people up - they are happy to profit from
ineffective research that involves torturing and killing animals, but
when they are confronted they all run and hide, cowards.
We left just after 6pm, after another great demo, which received, once
again, loads of public support.
