An
incredible number of cars honked their horns in support, with many more
people waving and sticking up their thumbs.
The horn honking stopped when the police arrived an hour in to the demo, but people continued to gesture support.
New security has been installed at the site, although it all seems rather low budget. The general impression is that this site comes low on QinetiQ's list of priorities. Their crumbling old sign has even been removed, presumably because they know that their name has become a dirty word locally. Unfortunately for them we will maintain a visible presence outside of the site, so everyone will know who they are and where to find them.
As one activist stated on the demo, "This campaign is going to save the hyperbaric goats, whether QinetiQ want it the easy way or the hard way. It's not a matter of if we save them, but when."
